There is no charge for missed meetings, however, I have limited availability so other appointments will fill on a first-come, first-served basis.
If three meetings have been missed in a row, the student will be notified and dropped from Henna’s caseload.

- Practice effective study habits and time management
- Explore extracurriculars and passions
- Take classes that align with personal interests
- Join activities of interest! (Student paper, sports teams, performing arts ensembles, science clubs, volunteering organizations, etc.)
- Take character assessments
Focus: Adjusting to High School
Grade 10
- Take character and career assessments
- Take PSAT in October
- Join National Honors Society
- Slightly increase course rigor (honors, AP, or IB classes)
- Get more involved in extracurriculars (Science Olympiad, Humane Society Volunteering, Starting Soccer Player)
- Summer Internships, First Job, Pre-College Programs
Focus: Building Character
Grade 11
- Attend college visits at your HS
- Bump up course rigor (multiple AP/IB)
- Take PSAT in October
- Assume leadership roles (at local, state, or natl level)
- Henna and student begin forming college lists and organizing tours
- Spring: Take SAT/ACT (4 mo. prep)
- Ask two teachers for letters of rec
Focus: Strengthening Applicability and Researching Colleges
Grade 12
- Summer: Write and edit college essays
- Maximize course rigor
- Continue leadership roles
- Attend NACAC college fair
- Apply for FAFSA
- Fall: Apply to college!
- January-April: Apply for scholarships
- Spring: Receive acceptances, tour schools, make your final decision
